Summary Of My First 31 Days In Affiliate Marketing
Do subscribe to my feed if you want to track my affiliate sales progress.
Time passes. I started promoting merchants with Cj.com on 13 October 2007. Prior to this, I have never tried affiliate marketing before and my experience is nil. I took a few days to get the hang of what is affiliate marketing. The stumbling block for me is not all merchants in Cj.com accepted Singaporean publisher. It doesn’t matter to me. Their competitors accepted me and in return I promote these merchants who supported non-US publishers.
Commission Junction
After 31 days or one month experimenting with affiliate marketing, I managed to get a total of 23 commissions which sum up to $147.57 from Cj.com. The sales are coming in consistently every day based on the websites I have created since the first day. In a way, the effects are cumulative.
Clickbank
As for clickbank, I only promote one merchant, and I guess I found the wrong niche. It results in a total of one sale at $16.61. Thankfully, this single sale has more than covered my overheads. Clickbank really has the potential to generate commissions if I manage to find the right niche one day. But right now, my hands are full promoting Cj.com merchants.
Conclusion
First Month: 23 Commissions
Commission Junction: $147.57
Clickbank: $16.61
The best thing about affiliate marketing is I do not have to worry about after sales service like packaing the items for shipment and then shipping the item. It is really nice to see commissions coming in one after another while I find the next merchant to promote. It gets really interesting if one is able to find a merchant that can convert well. I’m definitely here to stay.

Hi,
I must say that your experience in affiliate marketing is very great. Alright, you didn’t make thousands like many of the ‘gurus’ saying, but you see that you can easily make money online, especially when you blog and create websites. Most of affiliates actually gives up easily just because they do not earn enough money. But anyway, I must say that you should treat this as a real business and you will succeed.
Btw, I have found a new affiliate marketing network similar to Clickbank, but they have a lot of unique features that helps affiliates to track their campaigns and how where are the buyers comming from.

Nice commissions though! I’m using ClickBank however. I like them more I don’t know why. Keep going, you’ll make more, and more!
